When wearing brass you should note a few things:
as long as the ring is worn the brass will stay with it's beautiful golden look, if you put it aside it can get a bit oxidized but it can easily be cleaned. I suggest to store it in a dry place.
If it needs an occasional cleaning. My preference is steel wool, since it gives a nice satin finish, you can also use a few drops of lemon juice on a soft cloth.
