Studio Baladi is a small jewelry studio, and we treat your information with the same care as our pieces. This policy explains, in plain words, what we collect when you visit our shop or place an order, why we need it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Studio Baladi, handcrafted jewelry by Laliv Shalev, Kibbutz Evron, northern Israel. We are responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to us through our contact page.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number (optional), billing and shipping addresses, the pieces you order and any note you add.
- Payment: payments are processed by iCount, which also issues your invoice. We never see or store your full card details.
- Messages: what you write to us through the contact form or the “Ask me about this piece” form.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, used to keep the shop secure and working.
- Cookies: see the cookies section below.
Why we use it
- To prepare, ship and support your order (performance of a contract).
- To keep the records that tax and accounting law requires (legal obligation).
- To answer your questions, prevent fraud and keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
- Analytics and marketing cookies, only if you accept them; you can withdraw that consent at any time (consent).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for other companies’ advertising.
Who we share it with
Only what each service needs to do its job:
- iCount: payment processing and invoices.
- Shipping carriers: delivering your order.
- Hostinger and our email delivery service: hosting the shop and sending order emails.
- Elementor: the cookie consent and accessibility tools on the site.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
International transfers
We are based in Israel, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data. Where one of our service providers processes data in another country, appropriate safeguards are in place.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the shop working: your cart, checkout, security, and your language and currency choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only after you accept them. You can review or change your choice at any time with the cookie button at the bottom corner of every page.
How long we keep it
- Order records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires (in Israel, generally seven years).
- Messages: for as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up.
- Your cookie choice: for up to 180 days, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Wherever you live, and in particular under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, write to us through our contact page; we will answer within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority).
Children
Our shop is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), payments are handled by a dedicated secure payment provider, and access to personal data is limited to what is needed to run the studio.
